About The Nordic Skull artwork:

The Nordic skull on the Powell Peralta - Per Welinder Tee was designed by V.C. Johnson in 1984 to represent Per's Swedish heritage. Originally featured on his freestyle skateboard, the updated version in 1986 added a rock texture background. The graphic later became the centerpiece for Per's street model as he expanded into street demos. The runic lettering from the 8th century spells out his name and the quote, "Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key," a saying by Per himself. This design was also featured on T-shirts and stickers.
